![]() ![]() Palazzo te. It is a fine example of the mannerist style of architecture, the acknowledged masterpiece of Giulio Romano. Giorgio Vasari liked it so much so that he come back twice in Mantua just to see it, later Charles Dickens was terrified by that grotesque vision and by the monstrous giants. The magic is that the Giants really do whisper. If you talk in front of the junction point in a low voice, words can be understood near the opposite wall as the giants were effectively speaking. They discover this in ‘500 and even lot of famous historical personalities could not avoid taking part in this experiment.
