You will board in San Benedetto Po or in Sacchetta, subsidence with the Governolo's Pound Lock, there where Attila the Hun was defeated by Pope Leo the Great.
In front of Andes, in the valley, nature triumphs: wide, floating spreads of Nelumbium, the lotus flowers and of Trapa Natans, the water chestnut which is boiled and eaten in Autumn. Herons fly high up into the sky with night-herons, kingfishers and stilt-birds.
The Court of the Gonzaga, a touching sight, like Venice, emerges from the waters with the castle, the towers, the palaces and the basilicas.

We leave in Mantua and enter into the Valley where the home village of Publius Virgil Maro, Andes, indulges among water lilies following the river we can reach the mouth of the river Mincio. To enter in Po river the ship will enter in a pound lock. The ship will wharf in Sacchetta or San Benedetto Po.
In the majestic monastic block you can visit the rural art museum. In there you can find the fascinating working instruments of ancient farmers.

SAN BENEDETTO PO. In its name you find its own history: the Order of Saint Benedict, the monasticism, an important page of our history when Benedictine where given a island. Polirone: the island which Po and Lirone used to shape. An important centre for culture and power lasting 7 centuries of art and history touched by one of the best architect and painter: Giulio Romano.

Inside the majestic building complex in Polirone, you will find the museum about the instruments of ancient farmers.
